The transferred money should be in the currency of the destination country. Other wise, Western Union uses current currency exchange rate to convert your money to a different currency.

Sender Requirements

• If the customer is an Iraqi citizen, he/she must have an ID with his photo on it. And if he/she was not an Iraqi citizen, he/she must have a valid passport with either visa or residency card.
• It is not permitted to send money twice a day.
• It is not permitted to send money through telephone.
• It is not permitted to send money on behalf of another person.
• It is not permitted to send money through the use of the name of a bank staff, unless the member himself/herself is applying.
• Sender must be 18 years or older.
• Western Union does not send money to bank or company accounts but directly from a person to another one.
• Maximum amount to be sent is $7400.

Receiver’s Requirements
